- /u/HugBunter A 12th July, 2018 - 02:27 Whilst you're correct in what you are saying and I hope everyone would have the same attitude, this would be the verdict by any security researcher who looked into it properly, rather than deeming it as a fact based on the ability to login to an account on the actual market.

The IP address was a slow proxy, using a pre-defined and static cookie that had already completed the captcha check, the server entropy wasn't even close to the actual market's. I still think this was an attempt by a rival market to smeer their name. I'm not defending Wall Streets security as a whole, this is my verdict on that particular matter. I have found issues as I had detailed in my WSM security report which they fixed following me alerting them to the problems.

- /u/HugBunter A 12th July, 2018 - 02:23 x0rz didn't find this and when I independantly looked into it, it was simply a proxy using the same pre-defined cookie each time. Server entropy was completely different, I wrote this off as false and don't believe it was their IP address.

I could do this right now for absolutely any market and claim it was their IP, as anyone could with Dread also, you'd be able to login fine etc doesn't mean it is the actual IP address.
