amensia vs full disk encryption
- /u/itYM8LXLb9YPQR5zgRhq29f1h 7th May, 2024 - 22:29 The guy with full disk encryption lol. Because though its encrypted the data is still on the device, and there is a possibility that a cold boot attack can happen on him, Tails on the other hand has no data because of amnesia. But also you can use programs on any Linux distribution that will also overwrite the RAM on shutdown to prevent this so if the full disk encryption guy properly configured their device they are both safe.

Another Reason I Hate ProtonMail: Proton Mail Discloses User Data Leading to Arrest in Spain
- /u/itYM8LXLb9YPQR5zgRhq29f1h 7th May, 2024 - 22:13 You can very easily make proton mail accounts anonymous. It provides a Tor service which will keep you anonymous; people that get caught using proton mail is like being caught with using Monero, it is just bad OpSec. You are the one to blame if you are caught, maybe if there is an onion service available you should use it. If you do not need a recovery email why have it; but lets say you are creating your proton mail account with the Tor service just go get a disposable email address from guerilla mail, or somewhere else just to make the account then remove it afterwards. Proton Mail is meant to be a privacy respecting email service not a place for just criminals, you can use it anonymously. It is okay to use Proton Mail: http://6tc72lnilgt4dn2u6qk44vfns2qca552smajbilfcl6zs7ezf7emhbad.onion/en/service/491 <-- tosdr Proton AG, their terms and services simplified.

Privately Watch YouTube
- /u/itYM8LXLb9YPQR5zgRhq29f1h 7th May, 2024 - 22:23 Just use Invidious and when you go onto it just disable no script on the videos you want to watch, you can even use it without JavaScript too so its the only real anonymous way to watch YouTube.

[HELP] Tor with/out VPN??
- /u/itYM8LXLb9YPQR5zgRhq29f1h 7th May, 2024 - 22:20 You are not supposed to use Tor with a VPN. You shouldn't even be using Tor on a regular OS like Windows, use Tor in Whonix or Tails, and never have JavaScript.

Rate my current OPSEC looking for advice
- /u/itYM8LXLb9YPQR5zgRhq29f1h 📢 🍼 5th April, 2024 - 03:33 I compartmentalize everything in Qubes really well. In the old post; I completely removed everything; I have my Iphone completely setup for security and privacy with every feature disabled just enough to get signal onto it. I also have strict rules with the Iphone too, I want a Google Pixel for Graphene OS but I always have it shutdown. Also can you explain why to have a VPN and Tor because when I was reading about Tor you aren't even supposed to use a VPN with Tor to begin with. And I had a wall of text before as in I had so much details that no one wanted to answer. I also stated that I try to stay away from logins, so linguistic patterns won't matter because I very very rarely talk like this. Also stating never having a username is redundant but last time I checked its a fingerprint. Also saying that this is the darkweb or clear net is a little strange because its just an onion site. This account will not last long because I do not like having accounts. So the tip you gave with the mobile is good. The rest was bad OpSec.
