How would I go about watching youtube without signing in? I want to be able to do what I usually do. Watch videos and save them to playlists. But I don't want to actually have an account and have all my activity recorded. I plan on watching youtube like this through an anonymous VPN on a web browser I only use when trying to be as anonymous as possible that removes all cookies.

The idea is that I would have a setup that is like being signed into youtube, where I could save videos to playlists. I guess I can already do this with bookmarks, though.

You can make an account on most alternative frontends (Invidious, etc), and make public playlists through that. It doesn't require an email, and the account (along with it's playlists) exclusively exist on the frontent.
