[HELP] Tor with/out VPN??

by /u/Samsung26 · 0 votes · 2024-05-07 07:09:00

Well is a simple question that i was searching and a lot of people have different point of vision.

Talking about security and anonymity, is it actually secure to use Tor Browser with a VPN, or is just a optional thing.

I want to be as anonym as i can, so i will like to know if it is actually save or it can be worst than using my own wifi

Your VPN only works on the clearnet. When you switch to Onion Routing it is no longer in the picture.

You are not supposed to use Tor with a VPN. You shouldn't even be using Tor on a regular OS like Windows, use Tor in Whonix or Tails, and never have JavaScript.

If you want extreme and secure anonymity, it is better to create a virtual machine with Kali Linux and from there navigate in the Tor browser.

i was using that method, but in my case i have 10Gb RAM, but is a bit laggy and i changed to my main OS, now i use it without VPN but i will invest in a good laptop and tail OS.
