Are advertisements here on dread trustworthy?
- /u/partytime P 30th August, 2023 - 17:35 The adverts are screened to some extent. Does that mean your order will go well? Not necessarily. Remember one of the primary rules of the DN - Risk only what you can afford to lose.

How to Fix Dread Once and For All.
- /u/partytime P 4th September, 2023 - 05:06 Honestly, I don't know. I know my opsec isn't good enough to be a vendor or market staff. I won't kid myself about that. Because of this I have no interest in being on a market's staff, and have turned down some offers.

I'm pretty sure a lot of evaluation of long-time posters goes on behind-the-scenes of dread and other forums to find the really good people who are somehow vetted to not be LE, and not be outright scammers. I would agonize over having to make any such decision, and I'm certain admins keep a close watch on the people they recruit for any signs of LE-type activity.

One aspect of opsec comes into play in such situations, though. Compartmentalization. Limiting what a market employe knows and can do on the market would lessen the chance of any real damage being done, imo. I'll wager there are lots of ways to lock down staff accounts and limit their functional access to the market. One reason so much depends on the admin for things like missing deposits.

How to Fix Dread Once and For All.
- /u/partytime P 4th September, 2023 - 02:48 I agree with this point. dread online and working is a treasure trove of information, not to mention channels of direct infiltration to the less wary crews, mates. We all know LE is here, and we all probably know a poster who is probably LE, from the baby-bottle glowies to some that would probably astonish us all. Remember the lesson of the market who let an FBI agent onto their team. Forget which market it was, but is was a horrid fiasco and no doubt.
