It improves the safety and durability of the WHOLE market. I do see your point about the hypocrisy, but it's a non-sequitur. Just because some support the circumvention of one law, doesn't mean they do or have to support all others. Somebody could start a store that only sells LSD but not heroin or coke. Another might be against all drugs, but want their market to allow child porn and hitmen. The same goes for any regular business. Just because they sell legal stuff only, doesn't mean they sell ALL legal stuff. To each his own, whether market admin, vendor, or buyer.

If you are smart enough to get onto a DNM to buy drugs, you probably already know about things like possibly getting a substance you aren't expecting, whether it's fake or poison. I use reagents on stuff that I'm almost positive is what I think it is, and common cuts aren't typically fent/poison/toxic. From a free market/libertarian perspective, I say let Darwin sort 'em out, this shit's for responsible adults. ALSO, from a free market, libertarian perspective, it's not my market. If I don't like it, I can go elsewhere or make my own market. As much as I value free speech, and think it's important, I don't want the US government to have the power to tell Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, or whatever that they HAVE to do or not do any kind of censorship. I don't like the things they do, so I just don't use them if I don't have to. They should be free to do what they want with their own property, just like me. My body is my property, all choices about what I do to it or put into it should be mine and mine alone. In the end, it's really just that I could give a fuck less about fentanyl since I successfully pried my self from it's grasp, so it doesn't impact me. If my favorite market sold it, or explosives, or hitmen, or fake covid vaccines. I'd still shop there, because they are good at getting me the shit that I want. That's exactly what I want from our relationship, lol. Their morals and policies don't effect me, so it's whatever. Just like if they stopped selling my favorite items I'd just take my ass elsewhere. Probably after complaining for a bit to anybody who'd listen, lol. Edit: typo

- /u/silentsound 13th May, 2021 - 13:04 I know I'm late to the party, but I'll throw in my thoughts on the matter. I personally believe that PEBKAC (Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair). People shop on DNMs because what they are looking for is illegal, and it should have learned that drugs are bad, mmmmkay? Some people need to put on their big boy pants, and act responsibly. So I agree with everything you said. However, I don't disagree with the markets who decided to ban it either. Because people are dying from it, it brings more heat from LE. That effects the buyer, the vendor, and the entire market negatively, not just the vendor selling it. It's just one single item that, when banned, benefits the vast majority of the market. I may not be able to calculate exactly how beneficial it is, but I know it's not nothing. The market owners/admins take a huge risk to do what they do, more than any of the site's users. If God forbid they are ever caught and arrested, having their market sell things like guns, explosives, and/or hitmen, will most almost definitely result a harsher punishment than running a market that just sells drugs. *looks around* Where did everybody go? *hears crickets*
