I'm sure it's a bad look for a mailman to be seen sitting in their truck not doing anything, maybe even with their eyes closed and obviously not hard at work delivering mail. Some people take offense at that and are even liable to report it. So he found an alley, away from the main streets, maybe even away from his route, to be able to relax in peace for a spell.

The DNMB--much of which I've read a dozen times or more--doesn't really explain the relationship that you describe. I think it's good to have such an open, relatively democratic governing body. In fact, as I was reading last night--I think in another thread in this sub--I found it fascinating that one of the apparently most notorious and currently active phishers is permitted to engage, in a very public way, with mods from the very markets they had just, well, extorted.

A market operates independently of Dread, no? Is a market's presence on Dread then solely a kind of imprimatur of legitimacy? As a noob I've also been very interested in getting info about which markets are to be preferred and which to be avoided, and it's in search of that kind of info that I'm not going to continue scrolling more posts.
