- /u/DrugulaPR Staff 9th January, 2024 - 15:50 Perhaps you are confused and bought into the incorrect statements made by the person you responded to: please see Bittern's comment that was a reply to this, because this is in no way related to any update. "We are very transparent with what we do, the downtime a few days ago was completely unrelated to any sort of attack and we did not blame an 'update' for it. ... /d/Drugula would have already been taken down if our team was not competent enough for this." I'm sorry you feel we are not holding up to your standards, despite us otherwise having higher up-time than even larger markets when we aren't being attacked. We are actively being attacked by someone paying a script kiddie to attack our onionsite. Any market is susceptible at any time to DDOS attacks, especially one where a botnet in the 6-7+ figure range is involved, no matter how much any market may attempt or plan/prepare to completely prevent things like this this from happening. You can also see that even one of Dread's Admins', Paris, responded 11 hours ago in this same comment thread. We take our Market very seriously, and while we understand any downtime can be deemed unacceptable, please know that there's a reason why we are being targeted. As we continue to grow, our mere existence is a threat to our competitors, so these childish attacks are launched. We won't give up just because someone spends thousands of dollars to knock our onionsite down for a few hours or even a few days.

- /u/DrugulaPR Staff 9th January, 2024 - 15:36 Still hard at working ensuring the downtime is shortened as quickly as possible. We are truly sorry that we are experiencing such a harsh attack right now. We won't take it lying down and will continue to change things up as we work to dodge whatever can be thrown at us. Of course, we are utilizing the most up-to-date versions of Proof-of-Work and EndGame (With custom patches to make them even more effective, shout-out to /u/Paris -- thank you for that!) which has definitely helped, but some people have access to much much larger botnets for DDOS'ing that it would probably make some "professional" DDOS'ers cry. We will be back soon regardless, it's just sad that someone is willing to spend so much money to try and "take us down" because... At the end of the day... Drugula will always come back. But their wasted money on hiring script kiddies won't come back to their pockets. And we also use down-time like this to make our service better. Win-Win.

- /u/SonOfAugust 11th January, 2024 - 16:02 First off why are you trying to find 14 year olds? Weirdo Second, clearly nobody would use DNM if they could get cheaper and better quality, with better service and no risk, in person.
