Just something I've been thinking about. As far as I know, they do not at the moment, probably just because the sheer amount of letters that are sent out everyday in this country. On the other hand, I wonder if there's a possibility of this changing? Scanning the volume of letters manually is virtually impossible but what about an automated AI based system? The USPS scans letters with seemingly no real guidelines on what packages qualify to be scanned, seems like its random or more common in the big cities over there.
I wonder if India will ever invest into this? Or is it just too small a fish for the Gov to give a shit about?
Honestly, I don't have a lot of insight on the inner-workings of India Post, so I'd appreciate some conversations on this topic :)

Yes every letter and parcel get scanned and if they feel something is not normal pack gets opened !!

this is correct. They scan them all but only check the ones that have red flags like not properly hidden vacuum seal packs, reflective zip baggies etc

I think its scanned on a automated conveyor belts you think they manually scanning each under xerox machine ?

Packs get scanned through conveyor belt in international mail center when it lands but after that every pack gets checked manually in foreign post office and if something is not good it gets scanned again by custom in foreign post office

Now they are scanned with more new tech. And that's not good for the future. But when it comes to these items. Our vendors outdoor are always a step ahead so there will be a glitch to find a solution for this too soon

Right i feel indian custom is more tight then usa lol , soon dark market international orders will be a story to the new ones coming here
