If its not too long and not that they are demanding the payment then you are OK but if they are up your ass they this changes a lot! 1. If you owed for some time then the debt collectors will be on your ass as soon as the funds hit any of your accounts at this same time inheritance can't be transferred to any other names due to that issue! 2. I would go safe and make a deal with your ex. In this I would say that you tell her that you can pay 50% of the debt and the rest is written off and by that you will end up with clean shit and 30k in your pocket but again that depends on your ex. 3. Usually you can't send inheritance to other account other than yours and neither you can sell anything if you've got a debt collection on it! 4. Be political and 60k might not be 60k but 30k or even 10k would be good for a clean start! cheers ss

You can log in and still navigate but account might be locked due to the negative balance! When you supply the account to someone to drop anything into it you will have few negative marks on your future credit/chexsystem reports; 1. Miss-use of the bank account. This will lead to a harder time for a future opens up under that SSN and name. 2. Someone might knock on your door looking for you. 3. Collection on your credit and constant phone and email and mail coming to last address used! 4. Those are just the most important one. There is no way to explain to anyone that you've received couple of g and cashed it without knowing about it. It doesn't matter the IP/Login details. You know that majority of those accounts you open would need a local address for verification purposes? You know that after getting that account down the line you might still be asked to further submit additional paperwork? There are no method that is perfect beside TRY and ERROR! good luck chuck ss
