Hello.
Today I did a test purchase on Monopoly market to see how it all works. I successfully purchased a single gram of weed from UKCannaisseurs. I accidentally finalised early on the purchase (fair enough, I don't mind, it was just a test gram - hopefully he accepts and sends the order in due time - I will update this post if he does stick to word and sends FE).
I have a few questions, apologies if asked before.
Monopoly market requires you to confirm proof of purchase with your transaction ID and transaction Key on the Monero blockchain. Isn't there inherent privacy and OPSEC problems with this or is my knowledge of Monero wrong in this case? Why isn't it possible to simply wait for the transaction to be confirmed on the website without giving such information? I am sure that giving my transaction key lets Monopoly admins see which rings my transaction uses. I am going to need answers from admins to personally trust them with this information. I am quite new to Monero and I hope I have not potentially exposed myself to new people.
Why can't Monopoly accept transaction proofs that are available on the official Monero wallet?
Also, for future reference, I clicked on the 'problems with transaction' button so I can see what I might need to do if a transaction goes wrong in the future. This feature asks the user to provide 'which wallet' they were using. This simply means wallet address, correct? And it also needs a link to a picture of proof of the wallet. What does this picture need in order for it to be regarded as solid proof and what information do I need to censor to be safe uploading my private screenshots to the deepweb? Seems very easy for noob users to make fatal errors on this website. A guide on this feature might be needed.
EDIT: Also, after my confirmed purchase, I checked the vendors profile and it still said that his confirmed sales was 0. This seems dodgy, is it a glitch that needs to be addressed? Or does the vendor need to mark as shipped?

Thank you for the solid and informative answer. I now understand the workings of this market and trust it. Will definitely be permanenly moving here. I agree with the ethos. Looks like I did not accidentally finalize the order. And the order has been dealt with and I trust it will arrive. Thank you UKCannaisseurs and Monopoly. For me on the website it currently says on the bottom ' Completed Orders: 4' I remember when I ordered it went up from 2 to 3. Was it a coincidence? I was indeed looking at the information wrong on the vendor. It now says open orders 1/5 which is obviously noting my purchase. Thanks. This market is significantly different than the past ancestors. But it is defintely better and I would like this to become the new norm. So I will support this.

Excellent. It would be best if the user could see the number of confirmations on your site and wait patiently for the order to finalise instead of needing to be confident in their monero skills. It's not an easy crypto to grasp compared to bitcoin and litecoin. Excited to see the future developments.

I tend to read Dread like the newspaper in the morning while I boot up and have my coffee etc. I came a cross this post before I'd even saw the order. I logged in as soon as I saw your post, and had a message from admin saying basically " dont ship quite yet, I'll let you know when." My next shipping day is Thurs or Friday so I'm sure we have plenty of time to figure it all out. "Completed orders: 4" at the bottom of the page. But I am not sure what counts as a 'complete' order? So I don't know if I am speaking truth.
