XMR to other coins

Good Day to everyones, how do you prevent receiving tainted/dirty coins (e.g. ltc, btc) when p2p swapping xmr for them, on localmonero? What is the best way to mitigate this risk?

If you receive dirty coins does this affect one's ability to interact with a dex for future swaps?

It's a good question. As a buyer, I don't have to deal with it but I sometimes wonder how vendors manage with all the AML checks. They're certainly not going to reveal their best methods here in public though!

You can minimise the changes of loss by always using a new unique address for each trade and not mixing your UTXOs. That way if you are unlucky and receive some coins that are tained or have a high AML score then it's a minimum number that are lost. There are services which allow you to check the AML score such as the new one at trocador.app which could be helpful before sending to a centralised exchange.

If an excahnge requires clean coins going in, then they likely have clean coins coming out. If you are doing a atomic swap (which I believe has no percentage fees associated with it) then just swap it back and try again? There are apps you can pay to pre-check your coins
