Anyone down for a test?

So I'm new to tails and although I've ran linux as my primary OS for the last 10 or more years there is still a learning curve that I'm dealing with here. Mainly because in the past it was just an OS that I used like I would a normal one, browse the clearnet, work on some web projects, and the whole privacy aspect beyond a VPN or occaisional ssh tunnel was not a big concern of mine.

Figured that before I make myself look dumb trying to communicate with others on more serious matters I thought it might be fun and useful to practice things like sending/receiving encrypted messages and OTR jabber chats and such by following the practices in the DNM bible here http://biblemeowimkh3utujmhm6oh2oeb3ubjw2lpgeq3lahrfr2l6ev6zgyd.onion/

Practice makes perfect I guess. I think I got the basics of PGP and signing messages but have had no one to communicate with back/forth as a test, the same thing for OTR xmpp chats since I just created that account.

I got shit to do but I'll be back in a couple of hours. If it's not too weird to ask, add my jabber that's in my profile and we'll do some hands on practice of the methods demonstrated in the DNM Bible.

Thanks man. I think we both sent and received our first PGP encryped messages and figured out a bit more how the hell Pidgin and stuff works haha. Good practice. If anyone else wants to try this later because you're a newb or whatever, I'll be back in a couple of hours.
