Can you persistently change the homepage of TOR?

I don't get why Tails always loads up their website when you start TOR browser. Is there a way I can set it to a blank tab automatically without compromising any other browser related data?

Tails does not load their website when you load Tor. It loads their website when you start the Tor Browser because Tor itself gets loaded right after booting. Is there a way I can set it to a blank tab automatically without compromising any other browser related data? Not easily. You would at least need to fuck around in the Tails configuration for doing that.

I have edited the OP to avoid any confusion in the future. Not easily. You would at least need to fuck around in the Tails configuration for doing that. Do you happen to know more about this? It doesn't matter if it is not easily done. To me it seems like an unnecessary security risk to load a clearweb website so I would like to change that.

Tor is made for browsing clearnet websites. Doing this is safe as long as you dont submit passwords in cleartext. Do you happen to know more about this? This post⚠️ by /u/Thotbot should work for you. These steps are not necessary for you but you can still do them if you wish: - Click on the shield icon located in the upper right hand corner. - Click on 'Advanced Security Settings' - Set the security level to 'Safest' Or instead of these steps set an empty page as the homepage in the Tor Browser settings. But the (small) risk of fucking something up doing it is definitely higher than the risk of using Tor Browser on clearnet websites.
