A shopping cart

by /u/publicactive · 0 votes · 12th December, 2020 04:21

Any way to get a shopping cart set up? It makes it so much easier to keep track of stuff when you're browsing. Doesn't need to tally or anything, just a short list so you can compare like-for-like when you are looking that particular thing. With the favourite listings list it's disorganised and limited to 20 and not really fit for purpose like a cart or compare option is.

EDIT: Multiple tabs can also be confusing and annoying, especially when doing cross-market comparison.

Not sure if WHM has a "favorite" / "wishlist" option, many markets have in the past, but this is the closest you are going to get. The reason cart functionality has never been used in markets is due to the need for encrypting your address. You'd need to process each order from your cart separately still to encrypt your shipping address manually, per each seller's PGP key.

Yeah I kinda figured that, what if there was a "compare products" list, maybe you cans shortlist 5 items so you can decide which is the best value without having lots of tabs and confusion, especially if you have other markets you're trying to compare to.

You'd have to take up that suggestion with the market themselves, the other option is to try cross-compare for prices etc through the use of /d/Recon or /d/Kilos
