I was a vendor at first but then I started asking myself, why would "Mr.White" someone who has made 400m+, a GENERATIONS amount of money, why does he need to make another marketplace?
I don't know if it is just me but I kinda feel sus about it. Personally, if I made how much WHM made. I would fly out to a private island and fuck off for the rest of my life, never connect myself with the internet again.
Remember, there were 998k people / and if I remember 33k Vendors registered on the market before he "retired". IT JUST SEEMS SO WEIRD TO COME BACK WHEN YOU HAVE 7 GENERATIONS WORTH OF MONEY.
The Market is definitely coded by whoever coded WHM anyway, I could see things as soon as I first tested it. and I doubt he made $400million since the complete Market Cap of XMR is only 2.7billion, that would mean he held over 14% of the XMR supply. But yeah I would have thought he would have made Millions anyway.
I very much doubt anyone would be keeping such a significant amount of money in XMR, it isnt a stablecoin and it doesnt exactly provide the biggest invest potential. if you have $400 mill you have most in BTC
Yeah but WHM only accepted XMR, where is the sum of $400million coming from lol. Nucleus Market closed in 2015 and only had around 5000BTC in their wallet at the time, BTC was far less than it would have been when WHM closed, So I would put my guess at a figure of below $30million, bearing in mind these other Markets accepted Bitcoin which has far more users than Monero.
I don't think it's completely about money, but a sort of competition for bragging rights...The money is a distraction yes, but i'm guessing the legacy is more important
